JUMA prepares and files federal and Connecticut state tax returns for individuals, self-employed filers, and small businesses. We also handle business entity returns for LLCs, S-corps, and sole proprietors. If you have income to report, we can handle your taxes.
The earlier the better. We recommend connecting with JUMA at least 30-60 days before your filing deadline. This gives us time to gather everything, identify deductions you may have missed, and file accurately without rushing. For small businesses, we recommend year-round tax planning -- not just a once-a-year scramble.
At minimum: last year's return (if you have it), W-2s or 1099s, any business income and expense records, receipts for deductions you plan to claim, and your Social Security number or ITIN. We'll send you a complete checklist after you book a consultation.
Yes. Self-employment taxes can get complicated fast -- quarterly estimated payments, Schedule C, home office deductions, vehicle expenses. JUMA handles all of it. We work with a lot of self-employed clients across Connecticut and help them keep more of what they earn.
Yes. We help clients catch up on unfiled returns without panic. The IRS has resolution programs available and the sooner you act, the better your options. Book a consultation and we'll walk you through next steps.
Yes. JUMA helps individuals obtain an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number), which is required to file taxes without a Social Security number. This is especially important for immigrant entrepreneurs and workers in Connecticut. We offer this service in English, Spanish, and Kreyol.
Personalized service, year-round access, and multilingual support. At a tax chain, you see someone different every year. At JUMA, you build a relationship with a team that knows your situation. We're available beyond April 15 -- and we work in the language you're most comfortable in.
Yes. If you cannot get a Social Security number, you can file taxes using an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). JUMA is an IRS-authorized Certifying Acceptance Agent and can help you apply for or renew your ITIN. Learn more about our ITIN services in Connecticut.
Some documents -- such as business formation filings, powers of attorney, or certain IRS forms -- require a notary signature to be legally valid. JUMA has a licensed notary on staff to handle this for you in the same visit. Learn more about our notary services in Waterbury, CT.
